We put our Christmas decorations out and showed Elie who Santa is. She now likes to say hi to him on a regular basis.

We tried to give our picky little eater everything on the dinner table and all the little turkey would eat was mashed potatoes, and I think she ate 2 pounds of them. When she was full she found that they were also fun for finger painting!

Our little girl...not so little. We had a doctor's appt. yesterday and she has climbed to the 95th %ile for her height, she measures in at a whopping 32.5 inches. She is weighing in at 23 lbs. 3 oz. (50th %ile).

Halloween Week Begins....ooooohhhh!

Our play group had a Halloween party, which was a lot of fun! We tried a group shot early so we might avoid baby break downs, it didn't work. Two of them lost it right away.

Here's a couple of the bugs that were at the party. Elie and I didn't get the memo that she was supposed to be an insect.

Whitney and McKinley came for a little visit this afternoon , and Elie thought she was little again and should ride in the little car seat, I don't think she fits anymore....

Fort

All of Jimmy's dreams came true on Saturday morning when he got to make a fort for Elie. I am pretty sure this is the reason he wanted kids, so he could have a reason to act like one again. Elie loved it, you can see the fort behind her, it took up the entire living room.

Pumpkin Patch!

Elie's first trip to a pumpkin patch! We got a baby sized pumpkin, a Momma sized pumpkin and a BIG Dadda sized pumpkin.

We met our friends Kimberly, and her Mom at the Cherry Creek Mall so the grils could play. Here they are climbing around on the waffle.
And a bowl of cereal. There was a little boy there who was very intrigued by Elie. I almost didn't tell her Dad, but he gave her a kiss on the cheek, first kiss!

Maggie and the Baby Cow

I washed Elie in warm water last night and she shrunk! J/k, here's me holding baby McKinley. She will be appearing as a cow for the next two weeks. Tickets are free!

Flower Girl

Here's a little preview of Elie in her Flower Girl's dress for Sarah's wedding. She's going to wear a black sash in the ceremony which I think will be even cuter, no worries there will plenty of pictures to blog ffrom the wedding...only one month til the wedding!

I finally found a Halloween costume that I likes that everyone else won't have, it is hysterical I laughed so hard when I put it on her, I was crying.

Red Feathers

Beth, Jon and Baby Sam came up to the cabin with us this weekend. We had a nice time. We "hiked" Mt Margaret on Saturday. Any trail you can take your stroller on and has a 100 foot elevation gain, doesn't really qualify as a hike. There were some good jokes about "being on" Mt. Margaret though (mostly at my expense).

Elie has her pooh ears on again. Beth was reading the babes a story, and Elie thought she should pet Sam's head, she only whacked him upside the head once. Remember this picture because we'll blog it next to their 2025 Senior Prom pictures.

So I thought it would be cute and funny to watch Elie run around naked for a couple minutes and Jimmy and I even joked "HaHa what if she pooped", well this is what happens. This is not fake poop, and it is not cat poop. It is real, bonafid, 100% Elie poop, right on the rug in front of the TV, on the carpet. I know what some of you are thinking, "OMG, why would you blog that", then think about who her parents are and you will be reminded that that is not so wierd, poor kid! Now that's a blackmail picture!

The last two days Elie like to wear these Pooh Bear ears around. They were a gift from her Great Aunt Sharon, I think she's getting ready for Disneyland in November. We are going to have to study up on our Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

Monkey Bizness

Today Elie and I went with Ashley and Baby James to a indoor play place, called Monkey Bizness. There are slides and tunnels and jumpers and all kinds of things for the little monkeys to play on. Elie was a little unsettled at first but she literally climbed right in.

and log houses. This required a 2-1/2 hour nap after, Mommy likey Monkey Bizness. Did I mention in cost a whopping $3, totally worth every penny.

This is what happens after Elie is alone with Grammy for an evening...non-stop peek-a-boo. And then at the end of the video she does her "all-done"sign language to tell me she's all done eating.

New Baby Girl!

Introducing the "fuzzy little Meatball", all 22.5 inches of her! She looks alot like Scott and Whitney is head over heels in love with her!

Whitney gave birth today (9/17/08) to McKinley Marie Cain. She was born at 5:46pm and was a whopping 9lbs. 14oz. We are going to go see them tomorrow hopefully I'll get some pictures to share!

She can actually climb in this chair, she just couldn't manage today. But last night, while getting her bath ready, I couldn't find her, and she had climbed into this chair with a book just like in this video.

Caution: This is one wild child! She was throwing the ball with us and laughing and screaming. You have to take special note of her expression as she throws the ball, it's the best. At least I can get video while my camera is out of commission.

Her other new thing today was saying "oohhh!' to everything.
